Clubhouse for Trail Runners

The availability of clubhouse to answer the needs of runners doing practice run and training in the mountains of Sierra Madre will soon be a reality with the opening of Trail Runners Clubhouse in a few weeks time. Runners have to fend for themselves when in training without any assistance. Now that will change since the clubhouse will have facilities for the trail running community such as shower and toilet, changing room, locker, massage and spa services, cafe & resto, rest area, members lounge, trail running store, and campsite for pitching tent.

The clubhouse is built, owned, and managed by Pimco Sporting Events with the needs of the trail runners in mind. Its going to be exclusively available only to members of the Pimco Trail Running Club. The Club which now opens up registration for membership will only accept a limited number of runners for the year 2014, up to 300 members only. Thus its on first come, first serve basis. Registration for membership is now available by Online Registration in this web site or by on site registration at the soon to open Clubhouse.

For the past 2 years of organizing trail running race events, Pimco has been able to discover and identify trail running routes of different distances, altitude, elevation, and difficulties that offer beautiful vistas of the Sierra Madre mountain ranges spanning from the North to the South of the eastern sea board of Luzon protecting Metro-Manila from strong typhoons. This trail running routes have been proven to provide runners with great fun, excitement, and enjoyment during the race events and they are never the same as nature has a way of changing them. These trail routes will be maintained and even continuously develop by Pimco in coordination with concerned Barangays and the municipality of Tanay for safety of the runners. The Trail Running Club will further cement the reputation of Tanay, Rizal as the Trail Running Capital of the Philippines. Having an established and identified trail routes will increase the safety factors of runners since such trail routes are subject to regular inspection by Pimco Sporting Events. Guests and non-members may run the trail routes assisted by the Clubhouse provided they are sponsored by a member or members and they pay corresponding fees in full.

Trail runners will now be able to "trail run all you can" at anytime and at any day of the month of every year. Aside from the established trail routes, the Trail Running Club will keep the record of the personal achievement of the runner - total distances covered, altitude and elevation gain, recorded time in finishing the distance (the clubhouse situated at the "trailhead of every trail route" will be the basis of start and finish of the runner) - for the purpose of ranking and rating the members and awarding certificates to members semi-annually and annual achievements. Based on the record, runners will be ranked from the Top 1 and categorized as Beginners, Advanced, Seasoned, and Masters. Runners who consistently ranked high in any category will be rated as Elite runners.

The Achievement Award for runners shall refer to the total distance covered in a given year. There will be the likes of 1,000 kilometers total distance and goes on with the Global Circumference as the Lifetime Achievement Award which means the runner either completes 20,000km to 40,000km in a lifetime as example. This means lifetime commitment to the sports of trail running. These are just examples of what awaits the members.
