Stricter Observance of Rules For 3rd Leg NTDR II

Proper wearing of bib which should be in front of the runner and easily visible to organizers is very important even in international races. It allows the organizer to check on and take out illegal runners, the so called "running bandits" mixing it up with legitimate registered runners. This is one discipline of the race that should be observed by all trail runners no ifs or buts. Actually wearing the bib proudly makes you easily recognized in photos of the race that you have truly participated in premier trail running race like Nature's Trail Discovery Run Trilogy Championship series.

Exchanging of the bib number assigned to you with another runner without clearing it up with organizers is a no-no practice. If a runner wont make it due to sickness or conflict of schedule, runner must notify the organizer at least before the race and the runner who uses the bib number assigned to another runner must register in the event and not just proceed to the race, use the bib and run. In case of group registration where the group representative register for and in behalf of the group, the organizer must be notified on which runner a particular bib number is assigned to.

It is unfair for registered runners that a running bandit would mixed it up with other runners and partake of the provisions that are exclusively for the participants. Even the venue and the trail routes that participants run have been worked on for the registered participants and its not free. Thus having the privilege of running with other legitimate participants is like stealing from the participants what is exclusively for them. So its important even in international runners that bandits be taken out of the race. it is in the spirit of fairness that organizer using the Marshals will stop any runner without a bib visible in front during the holding of the championship leg, the 3rd Leg of NTDR II. We appeal for runners not to resort to the practices of running bandits.

Finally, trail runners need some gears unlike in simple road running. As runners go through forested areas where there are no marshals or where it is logistically impossilbe to put a aid stations, its important that runners bring their own personal provision in light gears like small belt pouch or backpacks for trail runners. If you cant afford to buy them now, you may improvise yourself. For the 3rd Leg, organizers will check on required personal provisions before you will be allowed to join the starting line. A hydration bottle is a must and strictly required for runners to bring either in belt in back pack or just carry by the hand. The list of required provisions will now be standard for all the races of Pimco Sporting Events.

Trail Running is a lifestyle sports with discipline. Its fun and one gets the rare privilege of running the mountains in organized race for safety, security, and convenience rather than just go alone running in the mountain. Just like any sports though, the discipline is of paramount importance. The rules are there not to hinder your progress as a sportsman or woman but to aid you and make the race orderly for your own benefit.
