Its an event the brings out the best from the runner. With its unique set-up, it allows the runner to improve in each of the races which is held in different established trail routes. Each of the Leg in the series has different degrees of difficulties and challenges that runners participating in the NTDR must be really fit and healthy.

NTDR shall be made more competitive in each season and the bar is raised raised each year to bring out the best of the trail runners.  New rules are introduced into the race that will refocus the race not so much on the cash prize which only the elite runners always have the chance of taking home but more on the development of the trail runner as an athlete in a new kind of mountain sports that is beginning to be appreciated by more runners.  NTDR therefore is more for the development of the sports and the trail runners yet continue to be a sport that is fun filled, thrilling as always, and enjoyable.
