NTDR II 1ST LEG RACE RESULTS

Here is the official race results of the just concluded 1st Leg of the NTDR II Trilogy Championship held last June 9, 2013 at Sampaloc, Tanay, Rizal. Of 400 officially registered in the race 317 made it in the starting line of those who answered the gun start, 314 made it to the finish line and only 3 were DNF. DNF of the 21k is still given the 21k Finish because of the additional distance except that the time of finish is not recorded.

TO ALL WHO PARTICIPATED AND MADE AT GUN START, CONGRATULATIONS WE ARE PROUD OF YOUR ACHIEVEMENT HAVING GONE THROUGH DIFFICULT ROUTES THROUGHOUT THE RACE. THOSE WHO WILL COMPLETE THE TRILOGY GOOD LUCK MAY YOU FURTHER IMPROVE YOUR RANKING FOR THE MUCH COVETED AWARDS AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE TRILOGY CHAMPIONSHIP.

Results Newbies 5k

Of the more than 50 registered runners in the Newbies 43 runners were able to make it at gun start and all have finished the race. Most runners were new in trail running and most have been veteran of road running marathons.

Results Advanced 10k

Of more than 160 registered runners in the Advanced 10k, a total of 139 runners made it at gun start and all have finished the race. Runners in this category maybe new in trail running but should be in the advance stage as a runner or have been running in different categories for quite some time and not a first time as a runner.

Results Seasoned 21k

Of more than 145 registered runners in the Seasoned 21k category about 104 made it to the gun start. 101 runners made to the finish line and 3 were DNF. The 21k is turned out longer with additional bonus distance of about 7kilometers more officially. The extra kilometers were requested by many runners after the familiarization run to allow them to reach the Tinipak Natural wonder in Daraitan. In this regard, DNF runners are still given the Finishers honor with the Finishers Kit except the record of time.

Results Masters 50k

Of the 47 registered runners in the Masters 50k that included foreign nationals, 27 runners made it to the gun start. All have finished the 50k within the regulation period and a record in the 50k Ultra have been established with a time of 3:50 beating the old record of 5:15 by more than 1 hour. This batch of Masters in the 1st Leg are very competitive however this is the easiest of the 3 legs that composed the trilogy. The next Leg would test the consistency of the 27 runners who made it to the finish.
