TOP TRAIL RUNNERS OF THE YEAR AWARD

This is it the "Cream of the Crop", the elite circles of trail runners are given their most deserving awards for their feats and performances from start of the Season. A new ranking system will be followed based on international ranking system combined with our own system that will be applied to bring out the bests.

 

Unlike in previous years, Trail Runners of the Year Candidates must run in all the 3 Leg of Nature's Trail Discovery Run trilogy series or if runner not able to run in all the 3 Legs, he/she should at least run any two of the 3 Legs with the Final Leg a must run and in lieu of the missed Leg, the runner must now compete in the Amazing Run2Run Adventure series to qualify for the Award. Next the Top Trail Runners of the Year Awardee should qualify on the time limit now put in place in every Category as follows:

 

1. For the Advanced 10k Category, the time limit should not exceed 3 hours in any of the preliminary Legs 1 and 2 to qualify as candidates. To qualify for the award, the combined time limit for any of the preliminary Legs plus the 3rd Leg or a total of 20k distance should not exceed 6 hours. This rule is valid for both the Male and Female Division.

 

2. For the Seasoned 21k Category, the time limit shall not exceed 4 hours in any of the preliminary Legs 1 and 2 to qualify as candidates. To qualify for the award, the combined time limit for any of the preliminary Legs plus the 3rd Leg or total of 42k distance should not exceed 8 hours. This rule is valid for both the Male and Female Division

 

3. For the Masters 50k Category, the time limit shall not exceed 7 hours in any of the preliminary Legs 1 and 2 to qualify as candidates. To qualify for the award, the combined time limit for any of the preliminary Legs plus the 3rd Leg or total of 100k distance covered should not exceed 14 hours for both the Male and Female candidates.

 

4. The Trail Runner of the Year (Solo) Award shall be given to the  Top Ranked Trail Runner overall for men and women Category. The Trail Runner of the Year Award must at least win the 21k or the 50k NTDR III Trilogy Championship or the Championships in the Gold 500k or the Platinum 1000k at an average time per kilometer between 6-7 minutes for the distance.
