Gerald Sabal has ruled the 2nd Leg on a back to back win starting in the 1st Leg. He is now the top trail runner to beat in the Championship. Some of the top runners in the 1st Leg didn't make it in the 2nd Leg due to change in schedule and due to bad weather that hounded the race event from its original schedule last September 1, 2013 which was moved for more than a month to ensure safety of the runners as the trail became too muddy in the earlier weeks. Still in October 13, the race proceeded even with typhoon signal 1 in the entire Rizal. Not only was the race technically harder, even the trail for the newbies which we visited a day earlier was laden with pockets of deep mud that practically would sink a runner up to the knee.
